Will VD Allow me to Run a single Desktop at a Lower Virtual Resolution?
Permalink Closed

OK, here's my dilemma. I have my pc connected to an older High definition rear projection TV. The native display resolution of this TV is 1920 by 1080i. I have configured my Video card using NVidia PureVideo drivers to display this image. I have also set all the icons and fonts to exra large. Unfortuantely, at this resolution the images and text are too small to read easily.

Because I use the PC to display High Definition broadcasts from local TV stations, I want to retain the 1920 x 1080i resolution, but I want to somehow be able to run my windows desktop at a virtual resolution of 800 x 600 so that the icons, text etc. are much larger and easier to use.

Would I be able to do this with Virtual Desktop?

Thanks!

Yes; create a non virtual desktop and use the top area of the Display-Virtual screen tab to change the display resoluation for this single desktop.
