Is it not working right or am I just a noob?

Please help. I would really like to use this program but I have a lot of problems. I will try to describe them.

First, icons.
If I have the autoarrange on I have icons on my whole desktope, but when I turn it off to use the different icon positions, I have icons only on the left side of the screen in about three columns and the rest cant be reached.
(To this I have a question, is it possible to not just arrange the positions for each virtual desktop but actually have different icons on each desktop?)

second, backround.
No matter what I do the backrounds are the same on every desktop. When I restart my computer, than click on the small icon in the right down corner and see snapshots of the desktops, they have the right pictures, but when i change to them it is the same backround and the snapshot changes too.

When I put a program to a virtual desktop, all of the programs to all of the desktops started automatically after booting the system. I thought it is supposed to turn on after you switch to the desctop...

When turning off the computer the program always freezis and I have to shut it down manually with process manager, or what you call it in english... (you know, ctr+alt+del)

I am using windows 2000 professional with all the service packs (at least I hope I have all of them), and I would really appreciate if you helped me out here. Thanks

Icons:

Right-click the desktop background to display the Windows contextual menu. You should have a Virtual Desktop Toolbox folder; choose the "Align all to top" option.

You cannot have different icons in virtual desktops, but you can have different positions or you can hide them in some of your virtual desktops. To hide icons on individual desktops, right-click the icon and choose the hide option in the Virtual Desktop Toolbox folder.

Go there for more information

Background:

Are you talking about desktops or virtual desktops? You should specify a .bmp file. Can you try to copy your bmp to a shared folder (or to the root c:\) and then try to specify this file as background?
