Someone posted the message below on another message board. Here is our answer:
1. You said "You have to register in order to use it more then 60 days": true, but just to know how many times the product is used; we don't want to make money!
2. You said "A huge program that have lot of extra functionaly except for the ones you want": we tried to give more functionnalities and documentation than standard freewares; sorry that you didn't find the ones you needed.
3. You said "Takes a lot of system memory": we chose to display snapshots of desktops, for example within our visual menu; this takes memory, that is why this functionnality can be disabled (use the Parameters option of the VDT menu).
4. You said "Can not do anything with their virtual desktop except use their "Run" to run a program": false, you probably missed the difference between desktops and virtual desktops. When using virtual desktops, you can use any run command you want, included the Windows Run command or the command prompt . When using non virtual desktops, VDT is used by default as shell, but you can run any other program (like Windows explorer) and use its Run command.
5. You said "Can not move windows from your default desktop to virtual desktop": false, once again you probably missed the difference between desktops and virtual desktops. There are many menus that allow to dynamically move windows and programs between virtual desktops (in the switch popup or in the Desktops Explorer for example).
6. You said "Very slow running program and gets you frustrated": ???? At this time, you are the first one who says that; what is you hardware; perhaps can you disable snapshots? We can help, just contact us (support@R2d2-Software.com).
7. You said "Get yourself deskwin versin 1.4. It's free and will make your life much easier": see answer 2. VDT is free too; but if you don't need our extra-functionnalities, use a very light freeware, and Deskwin is one of these and certainly very good.
8. You said "Why they make this software is beyound me...": we believe in free software and we just try to help; really sorry for loosing your time.
