The background file format only supports bitmaps (.bmp) and not JPEG (.jpg)  The program allows you to load JPEGs as a background, but no image shows up.  It would nice to be able to either:

1. Allow JPEGs and other file formats

OR

2. To avoid confusion, not allow the selection of .jpg files
