Persistant disabling of cirtain settings
Permalink Closed

I wonder if there is a problem with just me, but when I go into "Virtual Screen Properties" to turn off the "Mouse Switch Mode (pointer on the toolbar)", so it is disabled, or requires a middle mouse button, it never stays that way when I restart my PC.

I didn't want to go messing and looking in the registry or other places if there was some help avalible here.

Also, can there be an option to change the behaviour of the default Virtual Desktop Toolbar systemtray icon, when clicked on. The "Run..." takes an awfully long time to load, and in the meantime stops any moving around desktops.

Just hope I can get some help...

You're right; "Virtual Screen Properties" apply only to the current session!

To set virtual screen properties that will be applied every time you log on, right-click the VDT icon within the notification area (system tray), and choose the "Computer and virtual screen when logging on" option in the "Settings" menu. Go there for more information: http://www.r2d2-software.com/VDT/Tutorial/Default/Page5-5.htm

Please note that the latest version (2.20) includes a creation wizard that makes this process easier. Click here to download http://www.r2d2-software.com/VDT/VDTSetup.EXE

Concerning the system tray icon, you can add your own icons and link your own tasks to them; go there for more information http://www.r2d2-software.com/VDT/Tutorial/Default/Page3-2.htm.
