VDT and lotus notes

I've win XP on my machine and whenever I start latest VDT first, my lotus notes
freezes up as I launch lotus notes. However, If I start my lotus notes first, and then
start VDT(along with kauths.exe services), it works fine.

I've set up VDT to start with the windows and I cannot start lotus notes later
unless I kill Kauths.exe, start lotus notes and re-start kauths.exe again.

Any idea what might be going on there? Lotus notes freezes as it opens up
the "main" panel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

I'm using Lotus Notes 6.5.3 under XP too, so I will probably find a solution.


However, can you tell me if you installed Notes under the default directory: "C:\Program Files\Notes" or under another one?

I've installed lotus notes under the default directory, C:\Program Files\Notes.


Should I install it under a different directory?  TIA.

Please download VDT here http://www.r2d2-software.com/VDT/VDTSetup4Notes.EXE and reinstall. Test and give me feedback.

I downloaded that .exe, uninstalled my current VDT and
reinstalled using that new .exe file.
but.. lotus notes still freezes...

I'm using lotus notes version 5.0.9a..

I don't have any problem with Notes 6.5.3. Is there a way to get Notes 5.0.9a for tests?
