To change desktop's wallpaper, go to the desktop properties and then to the second tab (Display-Virtual screen).

The bottom area called "Wallpaper" is disabled (grayed) for the default desktop and enabled for any other desktop; I don't know if you're talking about this area, but you can send a print screen to support@r2d2-software.com so I can send you a more adapted response.
