I can not print from any of the applications that are in any of the created Desktops or from the Default Desktop.


We have an HP LaserJet 5 printer on the Lan with an IP address, and I can see the Printer in Printer Setup, but when I go to print something from an application, it gives me the waiting "hourglass" for about 5-10 seconds, then comes back with an error message that Printer was not found.


I don't see any Printer help topics or mention of Printer setup in any of the help files that came with the program.


Any ideas?

Can you try this.


Load the registry editor (regedit.exe), go to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\R2d2KernelAuthority\Parameters key and create a REG_DWORD value called WindowsHookDisabled with a content set to 1. Restart your computer.
